If you walked into a Joliet, IL ampm convenience store last weekend to get a can of motor oil and a spatula, you might have been perplexed by nearly 60 people rocking out, tournament style with Guitar Hero. And if you wanted to join in but missed your chance, there will be more opportunities just for you (oh, and everyone else).
The winner Saturday's tournament was Josh Nugnet of Roselle, who won by a narrow margin with a score of 229,451.
Players age 18 and older who win the matches at the local stores will compete April 14 at House of Blues in Chicago for the grand prize -- a new guitar autographed by rock band OK GO, a new "Guitar Hero III" bundle, an XBox 360 and a basket of goodies worth $300 from ampm.
